The hotel was right off I-70. This was the best LaQuinta we have stayed at so far. Very clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff, good solid breakfast. Plenty of restaurants close by. Small town that was clean and enjoyable. The Colorado river is close by with some nice walking paths to stretch you legs after a long drive. Two things to pay attention too. First there is a double round a bout to go thru before you get to hotel that should be used with caution.[1st double we have ever seen} 2nd, if you go into town STAY in the LEFT lane at the beginning of the round a bout or you will end up going east on 70 to the airport 4 miles out of your way.Oops!

Best costumer service ever experienced. Pulled in late at night tired as ever. The hotel was in typical La Quinta shape, clean and well managed. Being a rewards member I had a breezy check in, was settled in my room in no time. Did take a quick trip to check email on the one guest computer, in a sort of office computer lounge room. Only problem with this trip, the internet did not work on the computer. If memory serves me correctly, there was only one computer in the room, though it had a printer. So my only gripe about this place, they could use more computers (with internet connection for guests) however everything else was excellent. Off to the pool. A slightly small but nice pool to swim short laps in, perfect water temperature and plenty of towels. The hot tub, though small to had great jets pressure however peculiar, there seemed to be a seat missing on the side. (see photo attached). Theres even a nice mural to boot. Take a look out the window, not much around here in this colorado town. What made my trip was what occurred upon wake up. As usual, my wake up call and do not disturb sign were ignored early in the morning (despite the fact I had a late check out time) by the cleaning ladies. Despite the fact I sleep-shouted "I have a late check-out" they barged in "sir time to clean" as im laying in bed. This was handled quite well by the kind superior who was supervising them, and came in to personally apologize. He told me his name was Ray and he was the district manager. He said he would do anything he could to make it up; I thanked him and said it was not that big of a deal considering this seems to happen to me on many occasions, not just at la quintas. I awoke with a bill slid under the door showing a balance of 0 and a personal note from Ray again saying they were sorry. Now thats service! This also was somewhat a saving grace for me as funds were getting tight on my roadtrip. Im not sure if this was because I am a frequent stayer at this chain or just am a rewards member but these people made my day, and trip=) I have called up the chain headquarters and voiced my satisfaction with this property and requested Ray get a raise. Whether they followed through who knows but I will continue to stay at the sunny side chain, as Rifle Ray, hes a-okay. p.s. again, not much to do here, from what I remember there was a wal*mart nearby. This area is slightly less expensive lodging wise then more western i-70 in Colorado (though gas is more here oddly enough) Go figure, with Glenwood and Denver eastern, strange. Though not as strange as right next door, a gas station "Kum and go" next to the "rusty cannon motel". Even sharing the same sign post; are they for real?

We did a cross country move so we had stayed at several LaQuintas, which makes it easy to compare and review each one. This was definitely one of our favorites, despite an incident with the housekeeping staff. The atmosphere of this hotel is just warm and welcoming. We had a mountain view room right by the pool and laundry room. It was perfect! The breakfast was one of our favorites. The dining room was very spacious and even had a nice outdoor patio area. Of course, one of the great things about this place is that it's pet friendly. Nancy was super friendly and I really appreciated how she took the time to say hello to our furry babies. Only fuss I would make is how housekeeping entered our room before we were checked out. Our dogs were still in the room and my German Shepherd didn't appreciate an unfamiliar face making an entrance. Nice sized rooms and very comfortable. Quite nights rest and cozy beds. Wife thought to soft of pillows. 1/2 one or the other it seems. Indoor pool is great and breakfast was one of best in all our stays in LQ's over the last few years. Got a room last minute too. Staff held room while we drove from Grand Junction to ensure we could stay the night after long day of travel. Will stay againduring travels in and out of CO.

nice location, great hotel and staff, check out time was perfect (noon), Only complaint was that there was no restaurant close for my sister to have her vegeterian meals. We would go there again, for sure. And probably will. I have absolutely nothing else to say about the experience, please accept this. This is a true review.
