"Great find for a pet friendly hotel"

Stayed here on route to Denver with our two golden retrievers. Duck Creek Park is right across the street - great place to walk the dogs. Good value for $70. No extra charge for the dogs. Clean room, friendly staff, free breakfast - what more could you ask for?
I have stayed at this property several times over the last two years. Usually it has been a late night check-in and the front desk crew has always been very friendly and made me feel welcome. Rooms are just slightly on the small side, but have always been clean and well maintained.
This is a very pert friendly hotel, I have often been accompanied by two dogs and never had a problem.
While breakfast is the standard LQ offering, it's always well stocked and attended. This location offers easy access to I-80 and lots of restaurants nearby. I will be continuing to stay here on future visits to the area.
"Older hotel but clean and comfortable, but they need to update they TVs"

We stayed at this La Quinta in May, 2013. We choose La Quinta's because of the pet policy. (Pets stay free.) We have two small dogs and they were able to accommodate us on the first floor. Our first impression was that the hotel could use some remodeling. It is an older La Quinta, but it was clean and our bed comfortable. The rear door we entered from the parking lot didn't close properly (a security concern). It seemed out of alignment, as if it had been damaged. It was really hard to open/close the door. When we returned from dinner, they did have some contractors trying to fix it. (I don't think the door was fixed while we were there.) The only problem we had with our stay here was that the TV wasn't working properly (all of the major network channels weren't working--static filled screen. They have the older TVs.). We found this out after unpacking and having dinner for the night. When we brought this to the attention of the front desk, the person on duty was VERY accommodating. She and I went to several other rooms on the first floor to make sure the TV was working properly in the room before she moved us. She tried the TVs in a few rooms before she found one that was working properly. We did have to pack up and move all our stuff to another room, but did want a room with a properly working TV. The staff did comment that they were supposed to have their TV service upgraded. We were fortunate that they had additional rooms available that night, because the weekend before they told us they were full. So while there were a few issues with the TVs and a rear door, the hotel was accommodating and was attempting to fix these problems. We would stay here again.
I stayed here three nights on a business trip in early May. The trip went well and I give this hotel a positive recommendation.
First of all, remember that this is a La Quinta, not the Ritz Carlton. The building is an older facility, but it has been remodeled and is in good condition. The room was clean, the floor had been vacuumed properly, and there was nothing untoward in the bathroom. The bed sheets were clean and the bed cover did not have any unusual stains or smells. The mattress is firm and comfortable.
The internet connection is very fast and reliable. The front desk staff was not particularly friendly, but they weren't mean or surly or anything negative. Check-in was extremely quick and efficient.
Breakfast was typical: fruit, cereal, waffles, decent biscuits and gravy, orange juice, coffee, tea. The soda machine was properly stocked. The swimming pool appeared clean although I didn't swim in it myself. There is also a small exercise room. There are also several good eating options close by.
If I'm looking for something to nitpick, it would be nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room, and the TV is an older model with a fuzzy picture. However, those are extremely minor issues and an artifact of when this facility was built. You also get what you pay for, and this room was cheaper than many similar options. I have certainly spent a lot more money in the past for much crappier rooms in other towns.
Overall, I recommend this facility for anyone traveling through the Quad Cities. Business travelers or families looking for a place to spend a comfortable night or two should be pleased with this motel. If you are going to be here for longer than three days and want more amenities in the room, you might consider someplace else. However, you can't beat the La Quinta Davenport for the price, and I will definitely return here.
The room was nothing spectacular, but it was clean, and we slept well because it was quiet. Breakfast was included, which is always nice. It was your standard cereal, rolls, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, etc. They did have a waffle maker, though, which always makes me happy! Overall decent stay for a good price.
