"Nice hotel but bad breakfast"
Reviewed Aug 18, 2014

The hotel itself is nice. Rooms are clean and beds comfortable. The breakfast and breakfast room left a lot to be desired. The scrambled eggs and sausage were cold. The milk pitchers were small and empty. The breakfast room itself was very dirty and they didn't keep the tables clean after guests finished their meals. The lady running the breakfast room was more concerned with making sure all food was removed right at 9:30 AM than keeping anything clean.
My family and I stayed at La Quinta for 3 nights 4 days. We were very well pleased and satisfied. The location was off the freeway and very easy to find. As you walk into their lobby, the room smell fresh and very clean. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. When we got up to our room I was very impressed because the room/bathroom was a good decent size hotel and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Everything seemed spotless and clean. I enjoyed their free breakfast every morning. The lady who prepped our food did an amazing job keeping up with all the ppl who came to have breakfast. She made sure food was always stocked and the buffet area was clean. My family and I enjoyed our stay there and will definitely go back there again if were in the LA area. By far, this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in.
I personally enjoy staying their whenever i am an town. This hotel is one of my favor i tell all my family7friends to stay here. The people's are friendly pleace and quiet i like that at any hotel were i stay.
The hotel is new and clean and reasonably close to the airport. It is a good deal and a decent place to sleep if you have an early flight the next morning from LAX. It's not a nice neighborhood so don't plan on wandering around out of doors.
My friend and I were recently down for the Aerosmith concert at the Forum and chose this hotel for how close it was and the promise of breakfast. The check-in went smoothly, the young lady let me print my boarding pass from her office since the lobby printer was down. Very nice. She also pointed us to several eating places within walking distance. We went to Subway down the street, a little farther than thought to be but felt safe walking even with less then stellar location. There was a small fridge and microwave in room. With a liquor store and gas station market nearby, the fridge came in handy for leftovers. The Forum is minutes from the hotel and we had no troubles getting there and back. The beds were FABULOUS! So comfortable. Room temp was easy to get just right. Plenty of towels in the bathroom. Parking was a bit tight but there is a guard there at night. We were parked facing the street but no problems.
They did offer breakfast. Although there was a good selection-waffles(you make), eggs, sausage, cereals, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, rolls, coffee, juices, etc.- it was very crowded. There were large families/groups that took chairs from other tables so many had to stand to eat or go out in the lobby and try to balance plates on their knees. There is only one toaster so the line was 6 deep. They also need to devise some way to keep the hot food warm.
Also, the property is a tight U shape. If you don't w
ant to put on a show for your neighbor across the way, make sure that you also close your black out curtains before getting out of your clothes after dark!!
All that being said, I would stay there again for a Forum event.
