Great stay!! Go each year for a bowling tournament and it is always easy to choose where I will stay. The accommodations are always good, employees are helpful and the pool is always open. Nice area for the price.

"Not helpful after they have your money"

I stayed at this place 1 night before my surgery while pregnant with a 1 year old and my husband. I stayed in the hospital the next night but my husband and son stayed again and my son got ahold of the car keys for our car that was at home in valdosta (5 hour drive) well we ended up leaving them behind. My husband distinctly remembers seeing them on the floor but still forgot them. Anyways I called the hotel on the way home and asked them to please mail them. They told me no keys have been found so i asked them to please check again because my son had found another babies binky under our bed during our stay so I know they don't look very hard. I finally spoke to a manager and he assured me he would look thoroughly and call me before the end of the day. Well it's been 2 days and still haven't heard from him so it looks like we will have to pay $200 to get our car recoded for new keys because of sheer laziness.

Where do I Start this is the 2nd Time I've stayed at LaQuinta and both times were in GA and Both Visit were horrible. On this Visit everything started off Good was Greeted with a very warm welcome and a pleasant smile from Kourtney with a K she was great and help me get in with no problems. But when i got to the room I was met with an odor that was bad. I asked one of the ladies if this room had been cleaned because of the odor she stated it had been cleaned she told me she was going to get maintenance to come by and see what they could do about the floor. I left out and went to Kroger and purchase some Lysol disinfecting spray. Came back stopped by the front and they didn?t have any other rooms ready because they were still being cleaned. I used the whole can on spraying the room. I would have left and gone to another hotel but my cash was low and this was cheaper i guess you get what you pay for. Later a guy came by with dreads asking me if we wanted him to shampoo the floor but we would have to leave for about a hour.... we were tired and told him it would have to be later..... He came back with a clear bottle and stated we could spray this for now. This was a trip for my daughter?s basketball team. We stayed as a team. We slept on top of the covers wrapped in out covers.

There was not refrigerator in the room. There was no clock. Shared parking lot with homeless camp. Being in a strange city with a strange TV provider, would have been nice to have a channel guide. When we arrived, toilet was running constantly. I fixed it, but this is something housekeeping should have noticed/reported/had corrected.

I am a frequent Business traveler and stay at LQ's most of the time all over the country; I truly hate coming to Augusta because my company uses LQ hotels and really can't stand this corporate owned location. If you stay on the ground floor during spring or summer, expect mildew smell - I do not know where the smell goes in the dry fall or winter, probably lies dormant in the rugs. Bring LQ your own WiFi source or try to reserve the 2nd floor "conference room suite" above the office if possible, at least that way you can connect to the nearby Starbucks internet to avoid taking 5 minutes for a page to load on the hotel system. They recently updated the router (desk person stated), so now it doesn't need constant resetting to get it to work at all. The free continental breakfast is the WORST provided by any of the LQ fleet locations. Usually dry cereal, yogurt, packaged bagels, sometimes not too old of banana/apple, coffee, juice - that's it. I will say it is clean interiors, but don't touch the building exterior or elevator interiors with bare hands. Bed is good, shower is hot, vanity area is clean (I usually don't drink "in the room" coffee because you never know how the pot is cleaned - but that's a habit anywhere I go). The staff is tenured and friendly and will help where they can. Hold on to your kids and don't drive out from under the entrance canopy without looking to the left as the Starbucks drive thru customers are flying past the "shared" driveway. Sometimes they'll park right in the lane blocking your exit access while they run quickly inside and of course profusely apologize as they get back in their car. Don't stay here if you can stay anywhere else. On the positive side there are some good restaurants nearby.
