Lufkin has not been a hot spot for tourism so the Hotels are limited. This one is closest to town and although it is a little older than the rest, the staff are super friendly and try their best to make your stay the best. I have even met the General Manager, Sal. You seldom have the opportunity to do that.
stayed there twice the last month. room was always clean. pool was clean and warm it was an older hotel but clean. we always stay here when we go back to lufkin.suppose we travel with 3 dogs can't say much for the front desk people but house cleaning is always nice wifi works great
The room was clean ... Fit us ok . I always use La Quinta BC of my Dogs ... But in this case I think Id rather have paid the Pet Deposit. The Front desk young woman was so rude. Acted like she could care less about our stay . Very Dissapointed Mr. Soto.!!!!!!!!
Well its an old style La Quinta so I was not expecting much... To start off we had reserved 2 rooms for our work trip and we had 5 guys so I asked to have a roll away bed put in one of the rooms. After being told it was not a problem we arrived to find out they did not have one for us. So one of the guy slept on the floor, but they did give us a extra set of bed linens which I guess was their attempt to satisfy our need for the extra bed??? And normal breakfast at the other La Quintas at least has a waffle machine but not here! Just Eggo's out of the box.. And they want a normal price of $150 a night for double haha jokes on me I guess. Wont ever stay here again! Im going to try the Best Western across the highway next time!
My room smelled like smoke or mold. Old and outdated. Needs remodeling. Rooms are on the exterior.
Breakfast was mediocre even by La Quinta standards. Claudia who checked me in made me feel welcome. Very pleasant.
