We were 6 hours late due to our car breaking down, when we arrived we got our room right away. No major issues with anything, I did mention we were there for a family funeral, and the desk clerk seemed un affected by that. It would have been nice to stay a bit longer, so we were not quite as rushed to check out. But overall, it was a good stay.

over all good. Front desk personnel could have been more pleasant. Loud noise from highway and people talking loud outside during night. I love staying at La Quinta because of good breakfast and the pet policy of being pet friendly.

"Bad night, Good management"

We checked into the La Quinta San Bernardino only to realize that the room had a terrible odor. There wasn't a speck of dust in the room but it stunk. Then we discovered that the TV didn't work. I checked at the front desk and the only other available room was a smoking room so we went to the store and bought air freshener and a scented candle and we toughed out the night. The next morning when we checked out we found out that the supervisor had slashed a good portion off of our bill and apologized profusely for the smell in the room. Two days later I received a call from the hotel manager apologizing further and taking additional steps to make it right. I would never stay in room 127 again...but I would not hesitate to stay at this property. Any hotel with management this concerned about the customer is going to be a good place to stay 9 out of 10 times!

"Basic, solid, great value"

I have no complaints about staying at this motel. It was a clean room for a great price for the one night we stayed. Very rarely do these places actually look like the photos, I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room as well. But do bring your own towels, the ones they provide are very thin, keep your socks on or wear slippers in your room, and the walls are very thin. Other than that, enjoy your stay.

"Bad experience"

The rate I negotiated was $79 a night, which is less than other hotels in the area that I have stayed in. What a huge mistake though. I asked for a non-smoking room. I got a smoking room. The carpet looked like it had mashed up dog poop in it that no one bothered to clean up. The toilet "howled" when flushed. The toilet had black mold growing under the rim of the bowl. Cannot overstate how unclean the floors, curtains and appliances were. The bed looked good, smelled good and was VERY COMFORTABLE. The heating only worked without making obnoxious noises by placing thermostat indicator on lower heat. The room did have a refrigerator and good TV. I accidentally touched the fabric blinds as I was opening the window and my hand touched something moist and yuky. Only one of the two window locks on the single window worked. The walls had marks on them. My friend stayed in the room next to me. It was suppose to be smoking but had no ashtray. She felt the same about her room that I did about mine. We were on the third floor and had to walk around to the back of the building to find the elevator then drag the luggage around the other side of the building. Very inconvenient. But even worse was that the walkway was very narrow and sloped a bit away from the building. I had to fight vertigo the entire time I had to walk around the outside. Really do not recommend staying on the upper floors if you don't like heights like me. The cleaning staff I saw was an older hispanic male and female. Not one person cleaning that looked under 50 or so. The office looked clean and the outside of the building looked good but I do not recommend staying this hotel unless you are a smoker with dog who does not have issues with cleanliness, heights or walking with up and down stairs.
