"Dirty Room"
Reviewed May 11, 2013

Our room was not in good shape. The tub, toliet and sink area was gross. It was clean-ish but so worn over time it looked gross. Our son took his socks and shoes off and had black dirty feet in 5 mins so clearly the carpets were dirty too which you could visibly see the black grim.
The service was poor as well. The girl who checked us in was not overly friendly and our phone would not call the front desk. What a pain pain pain when we need more towels as you only get 3. We hoped for a DVD player for our son to watch a movie but they didn't have one to use or borrow for the room.
The furniture in the room was not only old but warn down and slimy from not being cleaned so long.
Overall, will never stay at a La Quinta again. Our first experience will be our last.
"Clean hotel looking a little worn, and could use some updating."

Staff was delightful and very helpful. We had issues with the internet and they worked on it to get everything up and running. Bathroom door difficult to close and my mattress was worn down on one side so that I sloped down and kept waking up feeling like I was sleeping in a hole. However, our room was clean and fresh smelling. I can't say the same for the lobby. There is a musty worn smell. Sound proofing is also an issue. We on the ground floor and there was a lot of noise from above at times. Not after bedtime, so not much of an issue. In the morning there were people talking in the hall in front of our door and we could easily hear the entire conversation...woke us both up. All in all we had an enjoyable stay and would certainly recommend to others for the price just some updating needed.
This was our 2nd stay here. Rooms quiet at night. The hotel was busier on this stay. Front desk was nice on check in an check out. Thank you for a good stay. King bed was terrific. Breakfast (free) is always a plus. Close to shopping.
3 towels per room. Even if you have 4 people checked in and request that 4th towel which is only 2'x3' to start with, you still have to ask EVERY day for that last towel. Had a mystery charge on my credit card $150 even though the room was prepaid. Manager said he could not figure it out, I would have to ask my credit card company to reverse it. The common areas are very dirty. The bathroom sink area is not closed off, only the toilet and shower are behind a door. So if you are traveling with a family anyone at the sink wakes up the whole room. On the plus side, staff is very friendly, pillows are great, and they offer free WiFi.
Stopped here for an overnight stay after attending an event at the Ohio Expo Center. My husband and I received a cheerful greeting from Lauren, the front desk clerk, when we checked in and she was also very helpful in providing an extra bath towel upon my request. Our room was clean with very comfortable beds. The bathroom area was small but adequate. I did need to request an extra bath towel and washcloth. Our room was on the ground floor and we realized the building was lacking in insulation and soundproofing because we could hear noise from the room above. We decided we needed to keep the volume down on our TV for fear of disturbing other guests in rooms nearby. The breakfast was adequate for getting us ready to travel except the coffee was very weak and was not flavorful. Since a good cup of coffee is essential for us to get our morning off to a good start we had to stop a few miles down the road to get a good cup of java. Check out was smooth and we certainly would stay here again for an overnight stop.
