"Perfect for Graduation at Lackland AFB"

We were able to check in early, it was the closest hotel to the base, the staff is amazing, the rooms were great. If attending the graduation you will be doing a lot of walking with the location of this hotel it helps to save drive time and more time you can spend with your new soldier. My daughter and I took this trip alone, we were safe and comfortable.
We stayed here for our granddaughters Air Force basic training graduation. The property is older but well kept. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff really moves people in and out very well. There is a graduation every week so they need to stay on top of what they are doing with the large amount of people coming and going. The rooms were clean and comfortable. If I had one complaint it would be the length of the shower curtain in our room. For whatever reason we were given the handicap room and that wasn't a bad thing. The bathroom was larger then most. However, water ran across the bathroom floor during showers and made a mess. It didn't matter what we tried we could not stop the problem. The location is the closet hotel to the Lackland base gates and proved to be very convenient.
The staff was really friendly. The free Wi-Fi was extremely weak. The furniture, beds, and t.v. were good. However, the A/C unit blew humid air, that wasn't really cold, even though it was turned down as far as it can go. The showers were dingy. The shower head was installed with children in mind. I am 6'3", and the head, tilted all the way up, only hit me in the chest. Not exaggerating either. If I had to do it all over again, I'd spend $20 more dollars and stay at the newer Best Western at Highway 90 and 410.
This location is OLD and not what you would expect a Laquinta to look like!! Has to be another OLD chain motel that was painted with Laqunita colors! Carpet old and dirty. Bathroom filthy! Staff was courteous and helpful with area attractions, but if you are expecting a place with the usual Laquinta standards ..look to the Locations more central to downtown!!!
My husband and I came to San Antonio for our son's graduation from Lackland AFB. We had a horrendous trip from Florida, and arrived at LaQuinta after midnight. We were hungry and nothing was open at that hour. The clerk on duty went into their refridge and offered us food, provided us with information on the events at Lackland AFB, and directions on how to get there. The hotel is only about a mile and a half from the base. People were friendly and always helpful, hotel was clean, beds were comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Lackland for graduation!
