"Always Good at La Quinta."

It was a king suite w/sofa sleeper. The rooms were large and clean. It was quiet despite being next to the Interstate. The sleeper was easy to deploy. The breakfast was available to 9:30 or later . The location is convenient to UT and the Capitol.
"Not the greatest La Quinta I've ever stayed at..."

Very noisy location. The Inn is in dire need of renovation and sound proofing needs to be a part of that renovation! The up side of the location however is that if one doesn't mind walking a mile or two, South Congress and even 6th St. is in walking distance through the historic Travis Heights neighborhood.
Stayed last Friday night, and sleeping was difficult because of the voices outside my room until 3:00 am. Wi-Fi didn't work. Carpet was badly stained and surfaces weren't wiped clean. Overall dirty feeling in the room. The bed was comfortable.
We've stayed in many La Quinta's over the last few years, mainly because while traveling by car we often have a dog with us and pets are allowed at La Quinta. We've always found them to be perfectly nice and a good value.
This was the exception. We were a party of 8 and had 3 rooms between us. Rooms were all in old section (a mistake) and were in dire need of renovating. Wifi was an advertised feature in all rooms but it was out of service more often than not. Spent lots of time communicating with front desk about Wifi issues. Continental breakfast was adequate.
Price we felt was exceptionally high as well - not a good value.
In the breakfast area of the lobby, in the wall alongside a table, is a major termite infestation. Wall is being eaten away. This was reported to front desk.
The only reason I'm giving this establishment a 2 rather than a 1 is that the staff were all very nice and did their best to help with the various issues, Also, manager gave us a discount due to the constant Wifi problems.
I don't recommend, unless you make sure you get s room in the new section, which I've been told is better.
Has to be the oldest, dirtiest, most outdated La Quinta in the system. On check in one of the rooms was unserviceable as the door had been kicked in and the door facing was missing. The rooms were archaic by La Quinta standards. Our television was broken on Friday night and although we reported it on Saturday morning it was still not working on Saturday night. When I called the front desk I was told to pull out the TV,unplug it and it would reboot itself. Did not work. Toilet flushed poorly and people raised hell all night without anyone doing anything to stop it..
