-Wifi wasn't working even though I stayed right above the office -the reviews state "newly renovated" but looked like maybe a coat of paint and new bedspread were all that had happened, room didn't appear as it did in the photos on the la Quinta app. The toilet even seemed like it was about to overflow every time you flushed -I did not receive my member items upon check in, either .. Although I was told that breakfast would be supplied to me early upon request since I was to leave prior to 6am when it started. -Also, the tv was on an odd volume setting where if it had been off and turned on the volume was automatically very loud as opposed to the volume it was when turned off. -there was barely any parking in the front, unsure about the back of the property .. I guess they think the location is what warrants the price, The room was not worth 11,000 (now 15,000) points. At all!

"Concert Staycation weekend and fun."

Aerosmith, and Slash concert weekend. I chose to stay at this hotel due to it's convenience, and past positive experience with the brand. Enjoyable weekend, with nice accommodations. Good value for the money, and in the heart of a very nice entertainment district. I will be back. Party on kids!!

For the money, it is an okay place to stay. Not good for walking around. You will need a vehicle. Exterior needs major cleaning and/or upgrades. Rooms were quite comfortable. Standard fare breakfast with waffles.

"Lack of Service at La Quinta Inn Dallas Uptown."

After two weeks of calling and emailing we never had the information we were looking for from this hotel. We just lost time in our planning with this lack of service. We wanted to book a group from Mexico, Canada and the US. For our wedding in Texas. It began with a call, the front desk lady said, to get the info ourselves on line. On the next day, we called again and told her to ask if there were special rates for groups. She supposedly asked her manager, and then said NO again. That the rates were on line, and that she could nīt do anything else for us. But this time, she treated us like if we did not understand that they will not provide us the information at their front desk, and that we were nonsense for not understanding we should get it ourselves online. Then I began to complain at their web page, I found their contact mail and wrote, that they were the worst service that I had ever known. A few days later, I guess they realize what a terrible terrible sales job they have had done, so they contact me through an email and apologize for the inconvenience. And I thought, great, I will have no problem on booking our relatives and friends for our wedding. Then with their apologies they finally told us, that they do have group facilities, with an 800 number we could dial, and here we go again, we called and ask them. 1.- What was the average of discount per room, per night if we booked a group. And up to this day, I still donīt know. 2.- Where they available for our people to come on those dates. What I know, is: they are available, and its not high season. But hurry and make the reservation cause the rooms are running out. 3.-What options of rooms did they offer to us, and how many people per each different room. Up to this day, and after two weeks of struggling I DO NOT KNOW! Then the manager emails me after a week and says, Miss I am so sorry for this inconvenience, but I just came back from my vacation, and I had no idea that this had happened. And If you tell me the name of who answered the phone I will talk to them. Because we do book groups, over 9 rooms it is considered a group and we do offer special rates. At this point I thought. It is not a matter of talking to the lady who answered the phone, where is her training, her front desk manager, the general manager. So anyway, the General manager, says that he will help us. So here we go again, we call and ask for him but they say that he is not there, and that his front desk manager will assist us, that he knows the situation and that he will take care of us. So we make the same 3 questions. which like I wrote after 2 weeks still donīt know. So this new guy emails me, he is supposed to be the front desk manager. And he says, that they came up with a rate of 76.50 dollars per room, per night. That we had 72 hours to make our reservation, that our guest will have 21 days to give their credit cards info. Or, That I could provide their names with their credit cards numbers. And I reply to him, thanks for finally assisting us through this, but I have this questions and I hope you can help me. So I write this 3 questions that after days and days, were not clear to me. Plus I tell them, Im not sure that people would like to provide me with their credit cards info, so Could we have a group code, and tell people to make their reservation under that code, and if we do not reach over 9 rooms, we will accept the regular rate. And then I never got the answer, so I waited for a couple of days. Then I email the General manager and told him, IīM STILL WAITING FOR YOUR ANSWER, and after a couple hours, he replays (totally uninformed) I understand that my front desk manager made you a reservation. let me know if you need anything else. And then I snapped. That was just too much. So I email the general manager back and tell him, That they never gave me the answers. After I email the front desk manager and tell him that I never got his answer, and then he writes back, after a couple of days. What answer? I emailed you the info. And yesterday, the general manager writes and email in which he says. Sorry for our bad communication, the rate I had for 76.50 dls, is not available anymore, but I renegotiated 79 dls per night. And that I had 72 hours to make my reservation. -BUT WHAT RESERVATION? -WHAT ROOMS? -FOR HOW MANY PEOPLE? -WHAT WAS THE AVERAGE OR PERCENT OF DISCOUNT IF WE BOOKED A GROUP? So as You can see after more than two weeks of being treated the in the worst day, we obviously decided to just let them go. We would never let our family and friends go trough this type of treat, this LACK OF SERVICE, this terrible follow up. Because what did we expect from them. We called the BEST WESTERN on Friday 22nd, and in our first call we got the info and amazing assistance. My father was sales manager of different hotels in Puerto Vallarta, I grew up in hotels, I have lived all my life through the hospitality money, we ate, and got our education from the money of a salesman, who taught us about the importance of serving, assisting, and having a good attitude at work. This is why, I am so embarrassed of the way we have been treated, and I will complain everywhere cause it is not fair to be treated this way, and I hope that no one gets this type of treat from someone who is supposed to provide a service. THIS IS WHY, I NAME THIS HOTEL LACK OF SERVICE AT FULLEST EXAMPLE!!!!

"Decent rooms for a short stay"

Tips: Get an even numbered room above 110 or 210. That should be on the back of the hotel away from the highway. Very loud on the front! King rooms have a refrigerator, double rooms do not. This hotel seems to be older but kept up pretty well. The room itself was nice and clean. The A/C worked even though they have installed the dreaded motion sensors. Newer TV and good linens and pillows. Wifi was acceptable. Fast download speeds but rather slow upload speeds. Parking seemed tight but wasn't a problem while we were there. Breakfast was acceptable. Fresh waffles, wrapped bagels, white toast, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee. No other hot item as some of the chains do.
