"Needs improvement"

If you decide to stay in this motel, do not. I repeat. DO NOT settle for first or second floor. We had a first floor (basement) room & the walls are so thin that you can hear people walking on the floor above you anytime after 6 am. I doubt I'll ever stay here again but if I did I won't settle for anything other than the top (third) floor.

"Disappointing short stay at the WW La Quinta"
2 of 5 stars Reviewed Aug 2, 2014

I have stayed at this hotel about 4 previous times, and I have always been satisfied with services there. But this last time will probably keep me from ever staying there again. We checked in about 7 o'clock in the evening of a 100 degree weather day. After making some phone calls, fleshing up, etc., we left about 8 o'clock to walk downtown for some dinner. Before we left I felt the room was not cool enough, so turned up the ac. When we returned about 9:30, the room was still warm. I went to the front desk to ask if someone could checkout the unit or move us. They were all booked so moving to another room was not an option. Also, there was no maintenance person around, but they would check. After about 1/2 hr, I went back to the desk. No maintenance person around so I got a fan. We opened the windows which helped but then we had to put up with the traffic from the highway. So, at 10:30 we went next Dorr to the best western and got a room. Came back to check out and they insisted that we pay 1/2 the price since we "waited so long to complain" and the room needs to be clean for the next guest. So we paid the $45 dollars, but feel we need to have that refunded back to us.

"Great Stay for Annual Basketball camp"

We came for a basketball camp. We had stay at neighboring hotels before...the pool hours where more flexible for our group. We love the location, close to the freeway. The breakfast was good, protein was offered. The upstairs hallway was a little warm, we had problems the first night with the airconditionere. We reported it the next morning and it was fixed that afternoon. The cost of the room was almost $40.00 cheaper than the neighboring hotel.

"An average hotel"
3 of 5 stars Reviewed Jul 21, 2014

We stayed in this La Quinta while visiting a group of friends in Walla Walla. We all made reservations in various hotels in the area, but we were unable to get a room with two beds for the two nights we were staying there. The first night we shared a queen sized bed in a twin sized room. There was barely enough room for us to store our suitcases and walk around the room. The bathroom was so tight, it was virtually impossible to get into it past the toilet in order to close the door. Our friend had made a reservation for one night only and was able to get a king room, so we switched the second night. This room was over-sized and had a Jacuzzi tub in one section of the room. The bathroom was still tight, and it was as tired looking as the previous night's bathroom. There is no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs. The parking lot is steep, so if you park down below you have to carry your luggage up the hill, too. The breakfast was mediocre. The hotel was full of young adults (attending a wedding, we presume), who decided they needed to congregate in the lobby at all hours. Unfortunately, our first night's room was the very first room down the hall. The staff didn't impress us as being particularly friendly, but they were efficient. Everything was just average. I wouldn't stay here again.

"terrible beds"
3 of 5 stars Reviewed Jul 16, 2014
A La Quinta traveler |
we are long time users of LaQuinta and find them quite comfortable, but this stay in WallaWalla was disappointing. The beds really need replaced and the breakfast was poor. Breads and rolls were not fresh and total breakfast needs some close management supervision with a view at improving the stay experience
