A La Quinta traveler |
The hotel is located close to the interstate. Upon checking in I figured I would hear the traffic all night. I was pleasantly surprised that this was not the case. Very little outside noise was heard inside the room. Very friendly service both upon checking in and checking out. Room looked and smelled clean.
We had stayed in this hotel before and it always met our needs (location, price, pet-friendly). We were pleasantly surprised to see that it has apparently been recently redecorated...new carpets, new bedspreads, etc. Our room was extremely neat and tidy and the bedlinens/pillows were of top quality which made for a very good night's sleep. The only negative was with the breakfast the next morning. The toasters and griddle were 'out of order', the waffle iron seemed to be having heating/timing problems and the oatmeal crock had only a tiny bit in the bottom - the attendant said she'd wait until it was completely empty before refilling it. These problems might have been corrected if just one employee wasn't in charge of everything...the front desk and the breakfast so we would not put any blame on her. I'm sure that these were temporary problems and will be remedied by the time of our next visit...this certainly won't keep us from staying at this hotel on our next visit.
Clean, quiet hotel. Fantastic, friendly front desk service. Great location right off the interestate. The breakfast was average. The other thing to bewareof: they have no elevator! This wasn't a problem for us, but if you're not big on stairs make sure to request a first floor room. As always, an awesome, hassle free pet policy that we love about LaQuinta!
Late check in, upon getting into the room, we noticed a yellow stain on the white comforter. We don't care where you stay, that is not ok. If it wasn't so late, we would have left the hotel.
At breakfast, not anywhere near the end of the scheduled service, the selection was weak and the waffle maker didn't work.....everything stuck to it. No fruit available other than a sad looking apple.
Tables were dirty........we will not go back to this La Quinta.
I stayed there for eleven days while my husband was in the hospital by myself. The room was very comfortable and clean. I felt very safe. The only thing that would have been nice to have is an elevator. So if you have problems with stairs make sure and get a room on the ground floor.
