Suite (Queen) was not what it should or could have been, but it was a room. The furniture is extremely worn and in need of replacement. Desk chair had large holes in it, couch stained as was carpet. No common area a/c - in fact no power for five hours (not their fault). Room a/c worked well (after the power came back) and was quiet. Traffic noise was acceptable for the location - though room to room noise was more noticeable. Breakfast was acceptable and the area was clean. Elevator available. Staff was the highlight of the hotel as they were friendly and helpful
My wife and I stayed at your hotel for 11 days and had an excellent stay. All of the employees and management were excellent and were very accommodating. The hotel is older but, was nice. A few things in the hotel were in need of repair but didn't effect our stay.
For a one night stay, this could be a nice hotel. For a long stay, money could be much better spent. The most challenging feature is the constant drone of the interstate. Curious thing is, that there are trees around, but they don't offer a noise cushion for the rooms.
The peacefulness of the room was often interrupted by the clear sound of the shower next door. That made sleeping a little challenging. Another disturbing feature was the fact that our room was left off for receiving toilet paper. I had to go ask for some at the front desk. Easy fix.
On a good note however, it was easy to find and get into and out of which made going places nice.
There was no booklet of things to do in town or other places for thin hat matter. Just the usual stand with millions of flyers. It feels as if this location is designed for the seasoned traveller's rather than designed to include families.
There is not much to say about a lackluster place.

I read the very mixed reviews on this property and can only add that, yes, the motel has some shortcomings, it is not brand spanking new, there is not perfect A/C in all common areas, it is a standard buffet breakfast, etc. So what? Let's look at the pluses: Friendly staff, good location, and incredibly bike friendly. They let us take our bikes into the room without batting an eyelash. The A/c in the room itself was QUIET and not too chilly...my bottom line for room air conditioning. Consequently, we got a good night's sleep, were able to rest our weary bones in the hot tub, and feel ready to hit the trail the next day. If every La Quinta is this bike friendly, it will be my (chain) hotel of choice.
Not the best LQ I've seen, but it worked. We had just biked half of the Willamette Valley Scenic Bike Route, and we didn't really care about the many, minor problems. The air conditioner worked, the pool felt good, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast got us going again the next day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Across the street is a nice park.
