"I will not be back!"

A La Quinta traveler |
I expected all La Quinta's to be nice but not this one. Where do I even start... There was no refrigerator only in some of the rooms they said. My toddler got a hold of a trash can that had dirty razors in it with in like 15 min of getting to the room(nasty). There was so many flys in the room it was annoying. The shower curtain has mil due on it it. The cold knob was jammed in there and they said all the could do was tell me to use a towel by that point I was ready to leave I asked for another room they said they were booked 2 sec said wait we have a smoking one open. then hung up to call maintenance then said o we do have another room. So I just felt lied to. I will never stay at this place again. I am sorry.

Tried checking into 2 rooms. First one was uncleaned, beds not made after carrying luggage up. Second also was uncleaned. Credit card was charged even though they said it would not, NEVER staying there again.

"Did not like this La Quinta"

This hotel was very outdated! The rooms were not very clean and smelled like cigarette smoke even though they are non smoking. Some of the staff was friendly, some didn't seem to care if we voiced concerns. The only good thing I can say is that, there is a Denny's, Wendy's, and Taco Bell right next door to this hotel. We were not at all impressed, we would not stay there again.

"It was OK"
3 of 5 stars Reviewed Jul 23, 2014

The clerk who checked us in was friendly and prompt. I called a few hours before we arrived asking if it would be possible to get a roll-away as we had had a child unexpectedly joining us for part of our stay and had reserved a king room. The clerk arranged for it and had it ready in our room when we checked in. Our keys did not work at first, but she admitted it was her mistake and quickly replaced them, The room was a handicapped accessible room, which we needed, and was clean and spacious with a hand-held shower head in the bath. It was a step-in bath, which was a problem, but the shower head and provided shower chair made it possible to work around it. I bleach-wiped the shower chair and laid a towel on it (just in case), but it appeared clean and was a pleasant surprise. We were pleased to find that the room chair was a recliner. The disabled parking spaces were right outside the door, although I noticed a pick-up parked in one of the two spaces (I was in the other one) and a person with a disabled plate was parked on the other side. My husband complained on their behalf and was told that the city police would not enforce the law since it was private property. I suspect they just didn't want to make a guest mad, even if that guest was a thoughtless jerk with no regard for others who could have parked 3 spaces over perfectly legally and apparently doesn't understand that it can be very difficult to maneuver a wheelchair or walker out of a vehicle in a regular parking space. It was late when we arrived and we had an early morning appointment, so we grabbed some dinner, went to bed, and left early. As a result, it wasn't until the second night that we realized that both the telephone and TV were not working. Both were repaired the next day, but thank goodness for cell phones! The same clerk was working and provided us with compensation for our inconvenience through La Quinta's rewards club. The hotel is directly adjacent to a Denny's, Wendy's, and Taco Bell, with other inexpensive restaurants nearby. Overall, I'm sure we will stay there again since we have a child attending a nearby university, but it would be really nice to see some paint and new paving in the parking lot. It's looking rather shabby.

"Best value for the area"

This La Quinta was the best value in the Irving, TX area. Even when there is an event in the Fort Worth, TX area. We chose this La Quinta for our next visit because the rooms are clean and comfortable as well as a great value and close to our destination.
