Request top floor. We had 2nd floor and could hear the people above us walking which made for no sleep before getting on 4 hr flight. (The group above us paced the room ALL night long.)
Rooms were average.
After making several phone calls to front desk to ask the group above us to be quieter or move one of us, found out the hotel was booked and we were stuck. Manager offered to refund half the room cost.
Overall, horrible experience thanks to the party animals above our room, but rectified by the manager.
Checked into LaQuinta since it is my favorite chain. Opted for the Jacuzzi room. Sheets were stained and TV didn't work. They put us in another room. The Jacuzzi didn't have the plug to operate it correctly. I went and told the desk and was told someone would be right up. Never showed. Went down to complain about it. I asked for some sort of compensation. What I was told was so sorry and no reduction in my bill. Paid a lot for the room that I couldn't really enjoy. Never again in that location.
Rooms are large and CLEAN. Breakfast is okay, hey it's $65 a night and free breakfast! Located next to freeway and airport. Agreed with the other comments, i.e. looks just okay from the outside, but inside the rooms have been very nicely renovated. Great value for the price. Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel does not look nice at all from the outside, but it is very nicely renovated inside! It was quiet and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We did have a washcloth left in the shower from a previous guest.... that was gross, but other than that the hotel room was spotless. It is a little far from downtown SLC, but very close to the freeway so the drive in wasn't too bad.
La Qunta doesn't usually let me down and this hotel was to the usual standard. Room had all the amenities although would be nice to have more toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast, however, was spoiled by a surly server who was unable to replenish the hot water until we had waited 15 minutes despite asking politely.
