The La Quinta Inn & Suites on Donelson Pike is a reasonably good choice for travelers who need accommodations relatively near the airport in Nashville. Although it is not luxurious, the rooms are OK and it's a fairly quick drive to the airport's parking lots or terminal. It seems overpriced for this market area, however. This particular La Quinta was originally built by the old Budgetel motel chain (which La Quinta acquired back in the late 1990s). It has three stories with rooms that open to interior corridors. Construction is fairly solid all around and so the rooms are quiet. The rooms are average in size, offer the basic amenities, and have pleasant, modern décor. The room I got was fairly clean. Although there was a computer-glitch during my check-in, the clerk was friendly and efficient; same at check-out. The property has a basic lobby, a surprisingly-compact front desk, and not much else other than an outdoor pool. There are numerous, well-lit parking spaces surrounding the entire building. It is in a busy, fast-moving commercial neighborhood and within easy walking distance of a variety of fast-food restaurants, a Shoney's (similar to Denny's), and several gas station/convenience stores. The drive to the airport can be made in 5 minutes or less. Altogether, this is a reasonably good motel. It seems overpriced for this class of motel and for this market area, however. I had to pay about $110/night with an AAA discount and including taxes. Unfortunately, competing motels/hotels in many parts of the metro area were about the same or more when I booked my room. Perhaps I am not keeping up with the times. With the economy recovering and Nashville's surging popularity as a business, vacation, and special event destination, motel prices are definitely inflating fast in good old Music City USA.

We had never stayed at a La Quinta before and didn't really know what to expect. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. The check in was easy, but they had overbooked and didn't have the room we ordered. They did get us a room that was good and the reservation system is more of a corporate problem than that of the location. Make sure you check with them before you go to see if they actually have your room. The staff was very friendly and helpful in getting us a room. Once in the room we found it to be clean and comfortable. The only issue we noticed was the smoke detector was hanging down but still functional. That's an easy fix. The continental breakfast was very good with several choices. Our daughter loves the homemade waffles. If you are in Nashville and need a good place to stay that is convenient to major roadways and the airport then this is your place. I will say the airport noise is a little much but we were so tired that once we hit the pillow the noise was not a factor. We will definitely stay here again when in Nashville.

Upon arriving we were so happy with the cleanliness of the hotel. This continued through the elevator, the halls and into our room! We we're very happy! With the airport only miles away, we thought we might hear planes all night but this was not at all a problem, I slept like a baby on their very comfy beds while enjoying the 32'' flat screen t.v. We woke the next morning to enjoy the breakfast which is included...the coffee was excellent! Overall, we'd stay here again and again~great hotel for the price!!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Everything was fine: Well appointed rooms with comfortable beds. Room was clean and the decor was lively and fresh. Lots of soft towels in bathrooms. The hotel is walking distance from lots of restaurants. The breakfast was adequate, just wish breakfast time could be extended to 10 o clock. Recommendable!

Staff had a good knowledge of the area and met all of our requests. I would definitely stay again. They had menus on hand and were eager to answer any questions. The morning staff was just a kind as the night staff. I would recommend this location. The pictures on the site see actual and they smelled nice too!
