"Old, in dire need of a reno!"

First room we were offered smelled of cig smoke, the next room wasn't much better. After 20 mins it was apparent that it was the carpets that stunk!
Room was smaller than expected, shower had mold, and the arms were falling off the desk chair.
Staff was nice, but the free breakfast wasn't that great. They ran out of batter, fresh fruit, and offered limited stale cereal.
I would stay at a different location next time.
I travel to St. Louis twice a month on business, and take my best friend, my pet Jungle ...beautiful Malamute/Wolf mix, with me...we have the same room each time by reques at this La Quinta...great spot by major highway systems, air port and shopping..thanks!
My stay here was certainly an experience. First off there was absolutely no place for my dogs to use the bathroom, except for a patch of dirt across the parking lot that was covered in pieces of glass, trash and empty beer bottles. Secondly the fan in the bathroom made a horrific noise and when I called the front desk to tell them about it I was told to "leave the door cracked" . Then when I got in the shower to rinse off after 12 hours of driving the bath tub did not drain, so once again I called the front desk and was told she would send someone over to fix it, needless to say no one showed up and the next morning I was standing in a bathtub FULL of dirty cold water. I have stayed at many La Quinta Inn and Suites and have NEVER had an experience like this one!!! I will NEVER go back nor recommend this hotel to anyone
The only downside I had involved computer problems. I could not connect to the internet on my computer and tried unsuccessfully to use the guest computer the following morning. I believe it is long overdue routine maintenance. This is not one of the high-end La Quinta's but it is still a good place to sleep on a difficult road trip. It does seem to be a little out of the way, but my GPS got me there with no difficulty and routed fairly easy the following morning. The price was good and I was over budget on a long road trip so saving a little was helpful. The night clerk was pleasant and extremely helpful.
Had a poor nights stay Apr 7, 2013 due to a party in the halls that went unchecked.
As best as the night clerk was with knocking on our door and trying to quite the party,
they would not relent. There was continual laughter and jokes going on a lady with an irrepressible laugh kept it going. I was envious, but too tired to care. The room phone, 101, did not work, bu the night clerk did her best to quite down the par-tiers. The management comped the room and were very kind. They night desk needs security, for the inn.
