The rooms are old, tiny, dated, dusty, stained, and uncomfortable. The front desk clerk rolled her eyes when I requested that my receipt be emailed to me. Guess that was a ridiculous demand on my part, wanting a receipt. One of the maintenance/housekeeping staff (wearing an LQ shirt) was walking down the hallway and all I could over hear was them dropping the N bomb. Classy. Racism and bigotry always makes a stay memorable, and not for good reason.
First and foremost: Bring your own pillow. All of ours were as flat as pancakes. The beds aren't very good either. Vending and ice were pretty far from our room. i could hear the guests next door snoring.
Wendy cleaned our room and it was spotless! Shower was good, nice water pressure. Indoor pool and hot tub was a plus for the kids!
this was a weekend getaway with our grandkids and our boxer pup it was her first weekend away from familiar surroundings the staff was very understanding and kind will always try this hotel first for return visits
The people here are great, everytime I needed something they always helped with a smile. Yes, it's an older hotel, but it has been remoldeled & updated. They are very pet friendly. They all genuinely cared for my 2 little min pins, Trooper & Rupp. They wanted to give them treats, everytime we brought them in, but asked first if it was ok. They even love to take pictures of their furry guests to put up on their Facebook page. The continental breakfast was good. They had eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, donuts, toast begals, cereal, oatmeal, waffles, juice, coffee, milk, & much more! Definatly recommend!
I booked a three night stay at the La Quinta through a package deal with the Branson Tourism Center. This is a great hotel with a great staff. Room was clean and in great condition. The front desk called once we got in to ask if everything was good, which I appreciated. Employees would ask how your stay is when they pass you in the hallways, which again is appreciated.
The breakfast area is cramped, but the lady who works that area is awesome. She saw I was bringing my food back to the room and she offered me a tray and larger cups. Nowhere have I experienced that. The indoor pool and spa worked out well as it rained most of the weekend. The pool area could use more tables and chairs, or at least something to keep clothes, shoes, towels, etc off the ground.
What was missing that I have expected as standard in hotels in the La Quinta price and service range is a microwave and mini-fridge in the room. I like to keep cold water on hand and having to keep refilling the sink with ice is bothersome. If this were done, I would give the facility 5 stars.
