They lied. They said they got internet access, but there's none in our room. They said, oh we're having problems. We also requested for a blanket for the sofa bed since it was a cold night, they said they ran out.
Overview: the LaQuinta was pretty standard for a mid range hotel. I did kill a tiny roach in the bathroom. About half the lights in the room only worked intermittently and none of the equipment in the fitness room worked (which, for the record, contained three stationary bikes and a pair of dumbells). It was decently clean, decently safe, and that's it. In future, I will probably pay a little bit more to have a clean, safe, functional room.

I had no problem with this motel. It was average. My room was clean and the beds were decent. Plenty of places to walk the dog.
The desk clerk was very nice and a pleasure to do business with. I believe her name was Ann. Not sure though.
We had ordered a pizza and they delivered it to the wrong LaQuinta but that was the only negative to my experience and that of course has nothing to do with the motel
We have stayed at many La Quinta Hotels but have never had this bad of experience. We stopped on our way home from Florida to San Antonio Texas we were very tired and it was my birthday. I informed the front desk person it was my birthday and we wanted one of their best suites she said she had just the one. When we walked in the first thing that hit us was the order. The second thing was the TV did not work and it was very old. When I tried to call the front desk the phone did not work. I went down to the front desk she was nice enough to give us another room on the 1st floor (we were on the top floor) which I realized is where the kept pets and asked her if pets where kept in those rooms I was informed that pets where kept in ALL rooms. My husband is allergic to pets especially cats and we were not informed of this at check in that was the odor in the room we were smelling. I checked out the other room and found the did have a flat screen TV but it was mounted over the cabinet that held the microwave and refrigerator which could only be seen from the desk. I went back to the front desk and explained that to the woman at the front the desk and she offered again another room on the floor we are on the floor we were on already that room was the same as the one on the first floor. The bed spreads are the old fashion dark flowered bedspreads and I've seen enough gross stuff on TV for me to gross out wondering what is on this bedspread needless to say we left this hotel and went down the street and paid more to stay at a Holiday Inn that was there longer than the La Quinta and was beautiful and very comfortable.
"We had a great stay at the La Quinta Beaumont West"

My husband and I decided to stop in Beaumont, Texas on our third night of our move from North Carolina to Texas because it was roughly the halfway point between Gulfport, where we'd stayed the previous night, and San Antonio, our final destination. Based on Trip Advisor reviews, I chose the Beaumont West location of La Quinta Inn & Suites in Beaumont, Texas. I also picked this hotel because La Quintas are always pet friendly and charge no pet fees at all. I had never stayed in a La Quinta before and was curious about the chain.
We pulled up to the hotel, which appeared to be Spanish influenced. I waited outside with the dogs while my husband checked in. The folks at the front desk waved as our dogs, Zane and Arran, pranced through their nice lobby area. When I opened the door to our room, I was pleasantly surprised by how attractive it was. The room had high ceilings and was decorated in soothing greens. The room had both a microwave and a fridge, and it had a flatscreen TV with plenty of channels. The air conditioning worked great. There was a large desk and free Internet. The best part of all was the bed. It was huge and extremely comfortable with nice linens and a great mattress. I got in it and did not stray from it until it was time to check out. I even looked online to find out what kind of mattress La Quinta uses. The property is also 100% non smoking and there's plenty of parking.
The bathroom was large and basic, with basic toiletries and a shower rod that tilted annoyingly in the middle, causing the sides of the tub not to be covered. But there was plenty of hot water and water pressure and that's what's most important.
The leaning lamp of Pisa...
One of the lamps in the room was leaning over for some weird reason. It obviously needed to be fixed or replaced, though it was functioning as a light source.
La Quinta offers free breakfast. My husband went to fetch me some and came back with very nice link sausages, juice, and a cold hard boiled egg. There are also waffles available in the shape of Texas! My husband said their waffle iron was on the fritz, so he didn't bring me one.
This La Quinta also has an outdoor pool, fitness center, and spa, but I didn't use any of it.

This La Quinta was really nice. It was clean, offered plenty of comfortable amenities, is conveniently located right off I-10 and even has a Sonic next door. I would stay again if I ever needed pet friendly accommodations in Beaumont. I enjoyed a very comfortable sleep on an excellent mattress that I'd love to have in my own home... especially right now, as we endure several nights on a chronically underfilled air mattress. Recommended wholeheartedly.
