A La Quinta traveler |
Hotel very clean, staff very friendly, Great location, well landscaped , fresh paint inside and out, Management truly cared, good breakfash, recommend adding some meat to CB
Would stay again, fair price,
We were on our way to the cross Atlantic cruise on April 26 and decided to stay two days in Fort Lauderdale before the cruise, This hotel gave us the best hotel for the money. It is not far from the cruise terminal and easy to get around on the car. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast room has lot of tables and you don't have to wait. Food were okay for early and fast meal. Although the coffee could be improve as it is on the weak taste.
We have stayed at many La Quintas. We are elite return guests, but will never stay at this location again and I am not sure if I will ever return to La Quinta again anywhere. The hotel was very nice but management has a lot to be desired and the rooms was full of roaches and when I approached the manager with the problem she acted as if she did not care. I would never recommend this location to anyone , not even my worst enemy.
We were setup to stay at this hotel 3 nights, but after the first night canceled due to our room having bedbugs. When I complained to the desk manager the next morning, she had no reaction what so ever. she just said she would turn the complaint over to maintance. We were in room 239. Stay at your own RISK.
I stayed at La Quinta four nights while attending a course very close to the hotel. The booking was done over the phone with an extremely helpful reservation staff who advised me on how to get to FL from Miami airport and guided me on the options of services available in and around the hotel.
The lobby looks similar to most other budget hotel and does not do service to some of the superior comfort details found elsewhere in the hotel. The room was very clean; the mattress was of good quality and the linen crisp and I slept like a log. I did not use the pool but up to the early evening there were several people enjoying it. I did not come across any security issues but one morning a person who clearly did not stay in the hotel got in the breakfast room and took some bread and jam.
My primary reason for choosing this hotel was the vicinity to my course venue but I felt that it would be very hard to find somewhere else a similar level of accommodation for less than 80$...
Closer supervision of the breakfast area and perhaps a small safe in the room would go a long way to ensure a greater feeling of security.
