We were wary of this hotel due to poor reviews. However, we got an incredible rate on the official La Quinta site, so we decided to take a chance. We stayed a week and were very pleased. The room was big enough for a family. It was in good condition and clean. The bed was comfortable, but the hide- a-bed in the couch was understandably bad. The breakfast area was newly renovated. It was kept clean, and the offerings were simple but very adequate. There was plenty of free parking. The internet was free and reasonably speedy. The staff was friendly and attentive. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from Disney or you can do a shuttle. I did a thorough search of hotels in the area, and this location has the best combination of rate, services (free parking, free Internet, free breakfast, pool & laundry), room size and distance from Disney.
Close to disneyland but away from crowd. We had the bunk bed room, kids loved having their own tv and beds. Breakfast was so so. But front desk ladies were amazing, friendly and helpful. Cleaning ladies are nice too.
we stayed her a few years ago and came back may 2013, are room was great, pool and spa was fantastic. the breakfest was also good. the staff was very nice and helpful. we will definitly stay here again. we are going back next year!!!!!!!!!
We had a little mix up with our room type reservation and oughtn't was going to be an issue at first but manager was very nice and fixed what central booking has messed up. I suggest you call the hotel directly when booking to make sure your specific room types booked correctly, manager even suggested this!! We stayed for 5 nights with 6 adults and 3 kids. Kinda disappointed in the breakfast, wished they'd offered scrambled eggs instead up just cold hard boiled eggs every single morning!! Transportation to the park was very convenient!!
We stayed here to attend the Rolling Stones concert and while we were pleased overall, some things were a let down. The walls are super thin and we stayed on the 4th floor near the elevator & gift shop, so at 7am there was no more sleeping & you could hear people talking. The front desk clerk upon even check in (may 18th) was not rude, but it is Disneyland and we thought she would be friendly, helpful, outgoing and was the opposite - she was having a bad day or doesn't like her job. Morning staff much better. Hotel is easy to access from the highway, convenient location, grocery store is a 5 minute drive! Able to walk to plenty of restaurants & shopping, in the heart of it! 2 miles from Honda Ctr, cab was $12 and we walked back (safety was not an issue at 11:30pm) - Angles Stadium close too. Parking a pain at this location, but free & close to elevators. Room was clean, but outdated & had a slight odor but the dog didn't mind. We didn't use the public transportation but it looked easy to use and convenient for all of the hot spots near the Parks. La Quinta is an awesome pet friendly hotel and that's why travelers appreciate a wonderful hotel chain that allows pets. Do your research. If you don't like pets like the previous post, don't stay at a La Quinta. We would never complain about animals in a hotel. Actually, the kids running up and down the hall yelling at 8am was much worse than any dog. Thanks La Quinta for your pet policy!
