A La Quinta traveler |
I find the hotel desk staff unwilling to give objective view of tourism information and just want to give a specific brand advertisement. Additionally the breakfast room was dirty , loose debris laying on the floors...was not vacumed in a while , and the tables were sticky.
The bedding of the rooms was however clean and the bed was comfortable.
I find it expensive for what you get though.
Good location 15 minutes away from LAX airport with FREE shuttle bus pick up/drop off... Good size of room and clean with basic breakfast provided.......
It is good value for $$$$$$ as it is stop-over for next day early flight............
great value and comfort for late arrival at LAX. we arrived at 2am and were rc'd with smiles and swiftly checked in. breakfast is included. rooms are tidy, beds are great and there's a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the room. we were just there the night.
I stayed at La Quinta for a one night stay over at Lax en-route to Hawaii. A free shuttle bus picked me up at the airport. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of check in, as well as my room. My room appears to have been updated recently, and also had a flat screen tv, which was nice touch.
Pros: Fair rate, ease of check in, decent room.
Negatives: I was slightly dehydrated from my coast to coast flight, so I was looking for a bottle of water. Nowhere to be found. Drank the heavily chlorinated tap water which was gross. Took a shower and was looking for a complimentary bottle of lotion, but was not provided. Of course I didn't pack it. The room walls are ultra thin. I heard the neighbors talking around midnight as if they were in my room. A couple began arguing in the hallway after that around midnight (10th floor). Again, woke me up and heard that. Was about to call the front desk, but they stopped after 10 mins. Lastly, the AC turns off on its own, and won't go back on. I turned the thermostat down, but that didn't help. I then switched it to "high cool" from "low cool", but that didn't activate it either. Eventually it came on two hours later.
All in all, la Quinta provided fair value, with a comfortable bed. Good place for a one night stay.
Everything was perfect. Thanks very mich. The exercise room is not very inviting, but it is clean and serves the purpose. I had no complaints at all. However, if you are a walker, as I am, I would suggest walking with a friend as the area is somewhat isolated, and even circling the hotel didn't feel safe. i walked the step toward the airport, and even though it was well traveled, I did not feel isolated or anxious.
