I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. For the price it far exceeded my expectations. The lobby area was nice and clean, the room was a nice size, and the bathroom was clean. Some people in my group had rooms with refrigerators others didn't.
Staff: Each staff member I encountered was very courteous and helpful.
Location: Worked for the purpose I needed.
Value: For the low rate you get a continental breakfast, free Wi-Fi, free parking and they had nice amenities such as a gym and swimming pool, which I saw people enjoy.
I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in the Durham area and need a hotel.
The value here is unbeatable. I had a wonderful experience. The staff was courteous and professional, and I felt welcomed and cared for. The price for my stay was very reasonable, and I was pleasantly surprised at what I got for my money.
This was a great place to stay-right off the interstate and very easy to find, but back from the road so it's quiet. We found the rooms to be very stylish and clean, there were extra pillows on the bed and the room felt very spacious. The grounds were also very clean and well kept. The hotel staff was also very friendly and checkin/checkout were seamless. An added bonus that we loved is that it is pet friendly too!
Stayed over the Memorial Day weekend. Pretty much had the hotel to ourselves, which has been the case when we have stayed here in the past (except during basketball/football season). Breakfast is so-so, lacking variety. Breakfast attendant was not the friendliest in the world - not rude, just not very accommodating. Other staff was courteous, rooms are well kept, the plumbing has some age on it, but everything was satisfactory. A good value for a weekend getaway, with a massive mall nearby and restaurants of every type and price range.
If you've never stayed at a LaQuinta Hotel and thought you had to pay megabucks to enjoy a hotel stay you need to check out LaQuinta. Reasonable expense with a really first class room. I was by myself but I think my wife would have liked the room, too. (The ladies can be picky!) But I think Laquinta would have passed the test.
