Hotel is old,the Internet service took 2 full days to get repaired, some staff were rude and did not care. Elevators are old.
Breakfast decent.
They cancelled a confirmed reservation and basically kicked me out, I think because I locked in a lower rate and they could make buck off someone else. Left a bad taste in the mouth...
What a great place ... wonderful customer service (with a smile) and the room was superior. The stay took all the grief out of everything in getting to the airport .. you park, you stay, you shuttle and BANG you are at the airport ready to check in .. and then, upon your return, you call, you shuttle, you pick up your car and BANG .. only a few miles and you are back home ... no worries, no frets, no problems. GREAT STAY!!!!
if ever staying near the bush airport in Houston Texas , this is no doubt the place to stay -its perfect in every way-we have stayed at this location many many many times - i would never stay anywere else in the Houston area if even at all close to the airport
Great value for Houston Airport travellers. The room was clean and spacious. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful and they serve a solid continental breakfast in the morning. Very good experience for our family of four.
the room was comfortable. It has good king sized beds with plenty of pillows. My biggest complaint from ANY hotel is the pillows. They are ALWAYS way too soft for me. but, La Quinta usually has tolerable pillows and at least enough so I can stack them together to make it comfortable for me.
The noise level this particular visit was at a high, (kids screaming, slamming doors people talking loud in the hallways), the carpets had remnants of the previous guest, i.e.: button on the floor, paper in the waste basket, and wet carpet around the table area.
My husband was taken aback that he had to go to the airport to check in and print out his boarding passes due to no internet at the hotel. It would have been nice if they had informed him of this upon check in.
Usually it's those little things that keep us going back to this chain. I'm hoping this was just a bad visit and not a preview of things to come.
