First impression was cheap decorations (and they were) light fixtures were plastic sheets rolled and attached forming a cylinder around the light. Ours were broken at the attachment point and many others down the hall were also.
But this was the ONLY issue and not a very big one at that.
Beds, pillows, furniture and plumbing all excellent....EVERYTHING WORKED!
Location was excellent close to restaurants and shopping.
Need I say more we will be back.
They don't keep personnel at the front desk, i has to wait over 10 minutes one time and about 5 minutes another.
This was my second stay in the past 6 weeks. Both times the service and accommodations were great. When it was necessary to call the front desk, they responded promptly and professionally. I will continue to stay there when the need arises.
Our room was comfortable and clean.The staff,although we didn't need them for anything were courteous upon our arrival as well as our departure. The bed was very comfortable! My only complaint is so minor but , there was only one trash can.I find that a bit odd.I suppose if I had asked I could have gotten one but i didn't.Overall,the room and the cost was great.
This was really a very expensive stay because of the Music Festival in Memphis. Our room was on the 3rd floor and had a very bad smell to it. Maybe people with a pet stayed in this room before us and the thought of this made me edgy. I reported it to the front desk and they promise to look into it, which I sincerely hope they did. Everything in the room was old and overused and I feel it surely needs an upgrade from paint to furniture. The paint was coming off in some places on the walls and also in the bathroom. The air-conditioner (it worked) was under a counter which was the whole length of the room. It did not look well. The breakfast was adequate to La Quinta standards. The staff was not over friendly. I feel it was a very expensive, unpleasant experience which left us with a bitter taste in our mouths.
Booked this hotel through Hotwire due to its great price and charming pictures. Upon arrival and check in I entered my room and was immediately hit with an intense odor of cigarette smoke. I returned to the front desk and asked if my room was smoke free. I was assured that the foor that my room was located on was 100% smoke free. I asked to change rooms and was given another room. The front desk clerk seemed annoyed by my request and asked me if I had dirtied the previous room or used bathroom in the room. I was shocked and surprised by his lack of professionalism customer service. When I walked into the other room, I noticed that the smell of cigarette smoke was even worse. This room was supposedly located on a non-smoking floor as well. I returned to the front desk and asked to check into my original room. Again the front desk clerk was rude and unprofessional. He gave off the impression that he did not want to be bothered. When I walked into my original room, the floors were sticky, the comforter and pillow case were stained and the toilet bowl was cracked. I have never been so happy to check out of a hotel.
