Alas, my daughter just graduated from Pomona College, so I will not be at this great LaQuinta anymore. Over the past 4 years, I have stayed here many times during all seasons. This hotel is clean, quiet, spacious, conveniently located, has a very friendly staff and is very affordable, especially with AAA, AARP and senior discounts. Very pet friendly, no fee!
If your child is attending any of the Claremont Colleges, this is an excellent choice. It is about 10 minutes from the campuses via I-10 and is much less expensive than the hotels near the campuses.
And as always, LAQuinta has the very comfortable beds and pillow.
We booked this hotel because it was listed as a 3 star hotel and it had a good rate. We called ahead to reserve a crib for our infant even, no problem. When we arrived, the hotel was very dirty, stagnant water in the front water fountain, graffiti all over the elevator, bath tub had mold and parts falling off and stained carpet everywhere. Also, no cribs. We ended up getting a roll away mattress and laying it on the ground for our infant to sleep on. Staff were not helpful at all. Also, the breakfast is a bit of a joke. Pay a little more and stay at a much nicer place. There are plenty in Ontario.
We stayed here for a week in May. If I could have found another Hotel after checking in I would have moved. The breakfast area is a mess and need to be cleaned up and have more items added like pasties and have more choices for yogurt not just peach and raspberry. The bathroom toilets when flushed are extreme loud and have some kind of mechanical that hangs up. Housekeeping needed to leave two wash cloths for multiple guests and have the room cleaned in a timing fashion. The hotel should supply toileted article beside shampoo.
We checked in and turned on the A/C we returned hours later to find it not working and the room hot. called the front desk they gave us another room.
Went doen for breakfast and the attendent was busy talking to the front desk, no bowls for cereal, no sugar, no spoons, had to ask she seemed not in any rush to make sure things were stocked.
Tried to use the pool but someone was having a celabration and over 100 people were in the pool, not all staying at the hotel. I relises some of themhad rooms but many outside friends were there the floors were very wet, as well asthe the elavator at least an inch of standing water. This was a prblem all day and even late into the night..

Good, clean hotel. Have stayed at this location several times. They are consistent in service level and room quality. Front desk staff competent. Breakfast offerings are meager and could be improved and expanded.
