I am very disappointed with the reviews recently written about this hotel. The hotel is pet friendly yes. There were so many dogs that you could hear them barking through the night. The paper thin walls and every door hinge in the building needing grease didn't help matters. The room was orderly and the bathrooms clean, but the furniture and carpets are filthy. The AC unit worked fine but was also filthy and musty. We doused the entire room with Lysol spray to make it bearable. The facility only has a 10 foot wide maybe 75 foot long grass patch to walk your dog. A broken down car that has obviously been sitting there for a while is the first thing you see when you pull into the parkig lot. The neighborhood is shady with a huge abandoned Travelodge across the street; with a likely stolen stripped out car in the parking lot. There are many other chain hotels nearby that look to be much nicer. There are also good restaurants within walking distance as well. I would not recommend you stay here with a family. My wife didn't feel very safe.
I will always stay at a la Quinta because they are pet friendly. Even if I don't have my fur child with me I will stay at the la Quinta because they accept pets. Not only that but the staff was friendly and the breakfast was great for this type of hotel. Wonderful experience and great place to crash on a long road trip. Ps I saw several dogs come in the hotel but never heard even one bark and the hotel was very quiet at night. Good for you La Quinta CEO for being smart about pets - I will tell everyone to stay at La Quinta whenever possible. :)
I loved staying at this hotel. My two young children and teenage sister stayed at this hotel when we went to my Husband's BCT graduation. The hotel staff was SO helpful and kind. I had a great experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable. And it was very conveniently located near the base. I can't express how much I appreciated the staff and their kindness and helpfulness. They were amazing. Thank you La Quinta! We had a great trip thanks to you!
This place put all their effort into the rooms and they're great to stay in. Comfy with a great bed, nice furniture and tv and a good bathroom. It's not what you'd expect from the exterior or even the interior hallways - which aren't bad. They just went all out on the rooms. The people running the place are all very nice too.
We stayed here visiting my husband at drill school and for $155 a night for two rooms I can't complain too much. It is a small case of you get wait you pay for. The outside of the hotel is old. The inside is fairly updated. Our room was clean and bed comfortable. Hotel was quiet.
Cons: The pool is out in the parking lot,
as is typical with LaQuinta the bathrooms are on the small side,
The female staff, although mostly friendly, the buffet staff and the gal at the front desk were preoccupied with visiting amongst themselves and/or just kind of eh.
Parking is tight.
Typical breakfast but staff didn't keep the area stocked very well.
Plus: Price,
location is on Two Notch so it is close to restaurants and just up the road shopping.
