Just average. Well used and showing some wear. But it was clean and we had a place to walk our dog. Price was reasonable.
"Thumbs up!"

Nice hotel at a great value. Slight doggie odor in room, but I have 2 small dogs so it really didn't bother me too much. Found the hotel itself and surrounding area very well maintained and safe. Very convienent to the Cracker Barrel next door! Walking distance! Being a woman traveling alone, I never felt uncomfortable walking my dogs even at a late night hour. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling through this area.
We thought that this hotel would be comfortable as most LQ's are. First, the clerk got our reservation wrong and we ended up in a "smoking" room. The bathroom was way too small and the the TV was small and so far away from the bed that you couldn't enjoy watching it. There is only (1) old, slow elevator for all of the floors. The overall hotel is beginning to shows signs of wear and tear. To be fair the bed was comfortable and the pool "looked" inviting. Wouldn't stay here ever again. Did I say that the breakfast was less than average :(
"Super friendly service and comfort at affordable price!"

This is our 2nd stay at the Franklin LaQuinta in the last 6 months and we stayed 4 nights both times. We choose this hotel because it is near family and we appreciate the indoor pool which was the perfect temperature. The hotel is obviously an older building but the staff are very accommodating and maintain it very well, freshening the room quickly each day. We are LaQuinta Elite status members and were extremely impressed and surprised when we checked in and received the Executive Suite for the price of the Standard King! The room was very large with a sofa bed and recliner and the sink area outside of the bath area, the perfect touch! We do not have pets and have never noticed an odor or past presence of pets in our rooms. The breakfast area is a bit crowded for the number of occupants but again, it is clean! Our bed was VERY comfortable, I would definitely recommend this hotel, you get a lot of bang for your buck!
Two weeks before our arrival we reserved two rooms; one king and one double, both non-smoking. When given our room keys we were disappointed to find only one room to be correct. The king was a double. This wasn't a big deal except the room was a smoking room. It smelled terrible. We went to request another room only to be told there wasn't another one available. On our elevator ride back to the lobby with all our luggage another guest informed us that they had to give her a different room earlier because there were fleas in her room. Other guests on our floor were going through their rooms spraying febreeze because of the smell. When talking to the front desk we were told we must not have selected a non-smoking room. It was turned on us because their hotel was a dump. We have stayed a LaQuintas many times but this hotel was more like a motel six.
