Pet friendly even though we kenneled our dog, we know next trip. Was unsure about this hotel at first bc we usually stay at Holiday Inn Express but state games were going on this weekend and this was only available room. They did make a mistake on our reservation and had us for one night and not two. Shane the mgr took care of it first thing next morning with a great attitude! Also all the staff was polite and helpful even when guests and their teenagers were rude. Great job!

Pets everywhere, and the whole place smelled of cigarette smoke. The breakfast buffet is the lowest quality that I've experienced anywhere. We will not be staying here in the future. The problems started with the check in when we were given room keys for a room that was still occupied.
Our initial reaction to the hotel was not particularly favorable. When we arrived, the lobbly doors were open, and there seemed to be no air conditioning in the common area. In addition, the stairway and upstairs hallway were littered with small debris -- it did not appear as if they had been vacuumed for weeks. Fortunately, the room itself was very clean and well-maintained ... a stark contrast from the exterior surroundings. The breakfast provided by the hotel was adequate and the price was right, so overall we were not unhappy campers. It would be hard to recommend the place to others, however, given the state of the common areas.
One night stay, over all very good. When traveling with your pet, its great to know you can always count on a La Quinta! Rooms are large, plenty of room for large dog... Waffle house next door has great breakfast if you are up to eary :)
This hotel and staff have consistantly provided excellent facilities and service for the past two years. The room and furniture were well prepared for rest and relaxation. We highly recommend it to anyone desiring to spend the night in Meridian Mississippi..
