"Everything was as it should be. No suprises."

This motel is located in a commercial but fairly safe section of BR. The traffic on 1-10 by the motel is incredibly slow at certain times of the day on weekdays. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Everything worked properly. If you make long-distance calls with a calling card from this motel using the room phone, dial 9 and DO NOT WAIT FOR a DIAL TONE. We wasted a lot of time to find that out!
"up to date furnishing, clean, comfortable bed & pillows"

Friendly staff, pet friendly with no extra fee, good breakfast. Clean and fresh room. A great place to stay for modest pri$e. We had a comfortable king bed and feather pillows - would stay again. Will look for LaQuinta Inn for future hotel stays. I even joined their "club" to earn points for free nights.
This is an older property, and by its look it was originally built as a Baymont. I would estimate it to be 30 to 40 years old. You can tell that things have been done to update the property. In our room, there was newer carpet, light fixtures, vanity faucet, dresser, bed table, and recliner. Beds were excellent, with clean linen. Friendly desk clerks. The refrigerator was newer and oversized for a hotel. Climate control worked well. The hotel is close to a Super Wal Mart and a Community Coffee shop. You need to know that the LaQuinta chain has become very popular with dog owners. Fortunately, the dogs were well behaved. The walls are thin, so you would not want to be next door to a barking dog. There is a small wastewater treatment facility right behind one end of the hotel, and it makes a constant noise like a refrigeration truck parked under your window. It is not terrifically loud, but it is constant, and it will probably bother some people. On the second floor, you should avoid odd numbered rooms running from 225 to 237 if this kind of noise concerns you. The third floor appeared to be the smoking floor. The coffee maker was a one cup at a time model, and only one packet of regular and one packet of decaf were supplied. I don't know why LaQuinta sticks to this stingy policy because it tends to devalue their brand. Overall we considered this hotel a good value and we will return here in future visits to Baton Rouge.
We have stayed at this place and were highly disappointed. La Quinta used to be a Motel chain we liked a lot, because they were clean, nicly decorated and in a good quality.
This place should be removed from the La Quinta brand since it would not fulfill the level expected from that chain. Everything was filthy and bad. The toilet wasn't really clean overall and we had look away because it was nasty. A maid must be blind not to see all the dirt around the toilet and the bathroom or she must be extremely lazy with no one supervising her.
The only positive thing we can tell about this place was the clerk at the front desk. He was very friendly and accommodating.
We arrived late and we were to tired too go somewhere else, but we will never stay at this place again.
As the title indicates, this hotel is a traveler's last resort. It is in dire need of complete renovation. Check your door lock when you leave. Ours did not work and we needed to change rooms right as we were leaving for an appointment. The personnel are nice enough but plain & simple everything about this place is worn & shabby. Not a good representation for this hotel
chain.
