Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast workers were super.
The beds were the most comfortable I've had in a motel.
There were a couple minor repair items in the room -- the radio/clock didn't work and a bedside lamp was damaged.
I booked this room online, unsure of the neighborhood or caliber of the hotel. We were driving through and just needed a place to stay where we could bring our two small dogs. We were very pleasantly surprised. It was right off of the interstate, very easy to find. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, even though we were checking in late at night. The room was very nice, and the noise factor wasn't bad. The free breakfast was also good. The best part is that they allow two pets, and they don't charge any pet fees. When we checked out there were no surprises on price, it was exactly what they quoted online.
The only negative thing was the cleanliness of the room. It certainly wasn't filthy, but it wasn't spotless either. There were some smudges on the mirror, and I'm not sure if the floors had been vacuumed.
We will definitely stay in this hotel again when we are back in the area.
The room was clean and newly refurbished, bed very comfortable. Everything in working order, nice room darkening shades that really worked. Quiet in spite of the fact that the little leaguers were staying there. Staff friendly and helpful. No problem with check in or out. Close to the highway, good area with everything you could need nearby. Didn't stay for breakfast so I don't know how that is.
Service was personable, room was quite, clean and cozy! Arrived late and found room warm and ready for occupation on a very cold night, I did not have to turn heat up and wait for it to warm up. Room was very clean and parking was right by front door. Parking was well let and felt very safe and secure.
I read multiple reviews about La Quinta Inn in Tinley before we went there, and decided to stay there instead of our usual (Sleep Inn). We were very disappointed. Upon check in the man at the front desk couldn't find our reservation and kept saying "Are you sure this is where you've reserved a room?" I'd booked months in advance and found this to be annoying. Then he complained about my AAA card's text being too small.
The room was fine, and amenities were good, but this was probably the loudest hotel I've ever stayed in. It could just have been the people that stayed there during our stay, though. We could hear people talking through the walls, toilets flushing, screaming down the hall, singing across the hall. It was just not a good place to stay for a restful getaway. It probably didn't help that the cleaning crew's room was right outside. We were awoken early in the morning with vacuums running and slamming doors.
Compared to other hotels in the area, the La Quinta is also not well updated. It needs a revamp.
After I wrote a full review about the hotel they responded with a "thanks for responding. We apologize that you did not enjoy your stay. We look forward to your next reservation!" That didn't seem to me like they cared at all about us as customers. After this stay, I'll never stay at a La Quinta again.
