I attended my son's boot camp graduation in Great Lakes last May 9 - 10. The hotel is nice the staff is friendly and it's near to all restaurant.The room is very clean. Overall rating EXCELLENT. FOR SURE I WILL RECOMMEND THIS TO ALL MY FRIENDS & RELATIVES.
We stayed for two nights here and were positively suprised. The room was very big, looked newly refurbished, and was very clean. The free wifi and breakfast (with many choices) were great. Lucy at the reception was exremely welcoming upon our arrival. I would return to this hotel.
We decided to give La Quinta a try, after an incident with Motel 6. We figured it was time for a step up, and we were glad we made that decision.
This La Quinta was clean, comfortable, allowed our dogs to stay with us, and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. It was so nice to actually have an alarm clock in the room, free wifi, and breakfast provided!
It's likely that we'll never go back to Motel 6.. La Quinta is our go-to for traveling with our dogs, now.
The La Quinta is a well located hotel right off the freeway next to the Six Flags Amusement park. It is a no frills, clean, good value hotel for families. It's got a decent indoor swimming pool. It offers a basic free continental breakfast. Most of the available parking is in the back of the property. It's walking distance to a few restaurants such as the iHop, Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden, Joe's Crab Shack, and Cracker Barrel.
Our first stay in La Quinta Inn was a memorable and pleasant one. The ladies at the front desk were very hospitable and helpful. The hotel was clean as were the rooms. Very nice decor and the beds were comfortable. Would have preferred a queen size bed but the doubles were fine. We really loved the location of this hotel. Everything was close by and the area was very clean and quiet. There was an IHOP and Cracker Barrel and Outback Steakhouse next door as well as other restaurants. We especially enjoyed having an Olive Garden down the street (we ate there twice.) There is also a McDonalds and Chucky Cheese and of course a Starbucks. Overall really enjoyed our first stay in La Quinta Inn. This was our first trip to Gurnee, IL from California and we were there for our son's Boot Camp graduation. If we ever go back, we would stay there again. You really will enjoy your stay at La Quinta Inn!
